    That Tall Lady

    a travel and lifestyle blog

    My Story

How ironic that I’m drafting this on an airplane!

    Hi friends!

I’m Adaeze and the lady behind this travel and lifestyle blog – thattalllady.com and I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m a Nigerian living in Scotland. A daughter, sister, and soon to be wife! My faith and love for God shapes all aspects my life – including my travels. I’m a believer in the fact that the earth is the Lords and everything in it (Psalm 24:1) and that fuels my travels. The more of Gods earth that I see and experience, the more in awe I am of the God that I serve.

    Abu Dhabi
my family on a trip to Abu Dhabi in 1999

At 11, my family moved from Nigeria to Scotland. Being exposed to such a  different culture from a young age shaped the person that I am today. From an early age, I learnt that people might look, talk, act differently but at the core we are all the same and equal in worth and intrinsic value.

    The Blog

With thattalllady.com, I want to encourage you to find beauty in the here and now – to enjoy and make the most of where you are now, not waiting for the next big vacation or move. I do this by being a tourist in my town and showing more of my beautiful home – Scotland.

    So… why “That Tall Lady”?

I started calling myself “thattalllady” back in 2011 as a way to get over my tall girl insecurities. Today, I see “That Tall Lady” as a symbol of growth, a reminder that life is journey of continually becoming!

I hope this blog inspires you to grow, explore and be more of who you are meant to be. If you made it this far, thanks for reading – Feel free to drop me a line in my DM’s. I’d love to get to know you.

    Lots of Love,

    Adaeze

So grateful to be able to celebrate another year. 2020 has been quite the year but I’m alive, I’m well and I’m loved!
Aberdeen at its best - This is Marischal College 🏰 one of the largest granite buildings in the world. (swipe for the full building).⁣
⁣
In fact, Aberdeen is known as the Granite city (or 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘪𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 - which I personally prefer)  because many buildings are made of the grey, sparkly rock that was mined in Aberdeen. ⁣
⁣
Where do you live and what's your city known for?
I asked my fiance to caption this and he said:⁣ I asked my fiance to caption this and he said:⁣

⁣
So there you have it, your #mondaymotivation.⁣
⁣
No matter what, promise me that you’ll remember that you have an incredible amount of light in you. So no matter what life throws at you (and we’ve all had our fair share this year), keep believing in yourself! ⁣

    I love a good afternoon tea!⁣ ⁣ Not just becau I love a good afternoon tea!⁣

Not just because of the food but because of how it makes me feel - super fancy and opulent, like I live on an estate with a butler. ⁣
